Why is this issue important? For some context, Palestinians have been facing an illegal occupation for many decades since May 14, 1948 (cr: History.State.gov). Over 45K (according to the UNPress.org) of Palestinians in Gaza have been killed and over 732 killed in the West Bank (cr: UNRWA.org). Over 1.9M (cr: UNPress.org) displaced in Gaza and over 1,722 in West Bank (cr: ochaopt.org) have been displaced from their families, and annexed from their homes since October 7th, 2023- majority of them being women and children. Gaza is currently facing a massive humanitarian crisis right now-no healthcare, education, forced starvation, ect, especially during climate and weather changes. Almost all of their infrastructure and homes are turned into rubble due to the Israeli airstrikes from the IDF/IOF, and are currently displaced in tents and streets. There have been many widespread diseases and amputations in Gaza because there is little to no healthcare and medical facilities. People have been finding their family members and friends under rubble, majority of them killed. Every baby is killed every minute they're born!
